Who we are
This page explains how the Terrace and District Chamber of Commerce (“the Chamber”, “we”) handles personal information collected through terracechamber.ca, our newsletter and our membership and event services. What we collect
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address and your name.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message.
- Board member interest form (Our Team page): your name, email address, phone number (optional) and what you tell us about why you would like to join the board.
- Member Directory sign-in: your username and password, and your email address if you reset your password.
- Membership and event sign-ups are made through Glue Up forms shown on our site; you see what is asked on each form.
Why we collect it
To send the newsletter, answer your messages, consider board applications, run the Member Directory, and manage memberships and events. The Chamber does not sell personal information.
Email newsletters and unsubscribing
Every newsletter says who sent it, gives our mailing address and contact details, and has an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by emailing executivedirector@terracechamber.com. We remove you as soon as we receive your request. (Canada’s anti-spam law allows up to 10 business days.)
Glue Up
We use Glue Up to manage our contacts, memberships, events and emails. When you sign up for the newsletter, you are added to our contacts in Glue Up. Glue Up’s privacy policy: https://www.glueup.com/legal/privacy-policy
Your access and corrections
To see the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it, write to us at the email or mailing address above. We respond to correction requests within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal information until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. We keep contact-form messages and board applications until you ask us to remove them.
Cookies and outside services
Our website uses cookies and loads some content from outside services, including Google Fonts and Glue Up’s event and membership tools.
